Portrait of the Artist As A Young Woman
Maeve's earliest work is characterized by an investigation of the difference between the two sides of the camera. One finds this theme recurring frequently during this period.
Maeve Alexandra has been practicing photography for much of her life, and her technique and message continues to develop, leaving the rest of us struggling to keep up with the substance hidden within her considerable style. This blog is an attempt to understand and chronicle the work of this exceptional photographer.
Maeve turned 3 years old in July 2007. She is based in Raleigh, North Carolina but feels that the appeal of her work is international -- perhaps interplanetary -- in scope.
The artist prefers to work alone, and hence the works displayed here are entirely her own creations, unsullied by manipulation or collaboration.
